Tyrese Gibson threw major shade at his former Fast & Furious costar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson during his October 23 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show! The actors had tension ever since Tyrese accused The Rock of delaying production of Fast & Furious 10.
Wendy Williams asked Tyrese, 40, for an update on the status of his relationship with The Rock, 47, he didn't mince words. “If you want to know how I feel about that man it’s all over the internet,” he said. “Have fun!”
The Black & Blue actor bashed his former costar for filming the spinoff movie Hobbs & Shaw that came out in August 2019. Tyrese claimed The Rock's involvement with the spinoff delayed the production schedule for Fast & Furious 10. The Fast & Furious 9 movie is slated to hit theaters in May 2020
“I just finished Fast 9,” the actor told Wendy, 55. The talk show host then asked her assistant to “look up how they got along during filming.”
Tyrese shot back, “He’s not in 9… so anyway.”

Things heated between the actors on social media in August when Tyrese shared a screenshot of a headline on Instagram that said, “Hobbs and Shaw Has Lowest Fast & Furious Box Office Opening Since Tokyo Drift.”
“I have to show my respects for one thing. Dwayne tried,” Tyrese said in the now-deleted post. "Folks called me a hater. And attacked me for speaking out.”
He continued, “Breaking up the family clearly doesn’t have the value that one would assume it does. You know what maybe just maybe The Rock and the crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10. We can all hug it out and get back to giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for 20 years WHAT they want. Not hating, I’m just pointing out the facts.” Tyrese continued to bash the movie but said it was “friendly competition.”
“A beef requires two people to jump in it. It was really one-sided and he voiced his opinion A LOT on social media,” The Rock told Andy Cohen during Watch What Happens Live in July 2018. “To me, there’s no need to have a conversation.”
