Vicki Gunvalson Claims She's Not Homophobic After Shading Braunwyn Windham-Burke At The 'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Reunion
Vicki Gunvalson is telling her side of the story. The Real Housewives of Orange County star addressed rumors that she's homophobic in an Instagram video following her fight with costar Braunwyn Windham-Burke at the season 14 reunion.
Braunwyn, 42, famously kissed costar Tamra Judge during the season and the event was brought up during part three of the reunion. Vicki, 57, slammed the mother of seven during the special and demanded she leave the show.
In the Instagram clip, Vicki explained, “I’ve been seeing some things on social media that people are portraying me as homophobic. I’m gonna hit it right on, head on — I am not homophobic."
“I’ve got family members that are gay and lesbian and I’ve got obviously Bravo fans, personal friends. I’m not homophobic," the Coto Insurance CEO continued.
Vicki then touched on her fight with Braunwyn on the show and said, “What I did say is I don’t think it’s appropriate for Braunwyn to be making out on TV. I don’t care if it was with her husband or Tamra or anybody.”

She concluded, “I just think it’s inappropriate. If she wants to go do that, do that off camera. I don’t really think that we all need to see it. I’m sorry if you all took it any differently than what the truth is. The truth is the girl bugs me, so probably pretty much anything that she does would bug me.”
In her caption, Vicki wished her fans a happy new year. “My message as we end our season 14, and enter into 2020. Peace be with all of you. Here’s to a healthy, happy New Year.”
On the reunion, Vicki went off on Braunwyn for her raunchy behavior and claimed her actions wrecked her financial services business. “I don’t like the kissing. I don’t like the nakedness. I’m sorry. I don’t. I think it’s disrespectful. Fifteen years, I started this show. We don’t do that. Turn it down, Braunwyn. Turn it down!" Vicki yelled.
"We have kids watching this! Get off the show. Let’s elevate. I lost two clients last month because of these shenanigans. They said it doesn’t meet their moral compass," Vicki said.
