PHOTOSDrug Dealer? Vito Schnabel Faces Five Years In Prison After Shocking Crime At Burning Man

No wonder Heidi Klum needed a break from Vito Schnabel! Days after she confirmed their split after three years together, reports surfaced that the art curator got in trouble with the law less than a month before their breakup. While the supermodel and television personality didn’t divulge whether or not his arrest was why she decided to call it quits, it’s undeniable that it doesn’t put him in the best light.

The 31-year-old tried to have a little too much fun at Burning Man, which takes place annually in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. A spokesperson for the Pershing County Jail told RadarOnline he was arrested September 3rd for distributing and manufacturing psychedelic mushrooms.

Vito has a court hearing on October 17th, though the day of his arrest he was released after being held on $5,000 bond.

“The Defendant did willfully, unlawfully import, transport, sell, exchange, barter, supply, prescribe, dispense, give away or administer a controlled or counterfeit substance and manufacture or compound a controlled or counterfeit substance,” court papers read.

Vito pleaded not guilty, but if convicted, he faces five years in prison.

And while this certainly does not look good, Heidi and Vito’s relationship was allegedly on the rocks even prior to this latest incident. A source previously told Us, “There has been trouble in paradise for a little while.”
