The first trailer for Ellen DeGeneres’ Netflix show Relatable is here! In the footage, the comedian-turned-TV host reveals how she came up with the name and shares some sneak peaks at what to expect from the 8-show run that included stops in San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Ellen’s been making people laugh for decades. From her sitcom Ellen to her current daytime talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she’s always been there to provide comedic relief.
When she kicked off this season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen revealed why she chose to do her first routine in 15 years. “I just all of a sudden was like, I miss stand-up, I want to do it. So I made a deal with Netflix, and I was working on stand-up all summer,” she quipped.
The routine includes jokes about her coming out years ago, emotional support animals on planes, and her beloved daytime talk show, where she's gotten guests like Chrissy Teigen to make some shocking revelations.

She also dances – a lot! (It really wouldn’t be an Ellen show without her showing off some moves.)
In the trailer above, Ellen reveals how she came up with her special’s name. “A friend of mine was at my house and I told him, ‘I’m going to do stand-up again.’ And he said, ‘Really?’ And I said, ‘Yeah,’” Ellen explains. “And he said, ‘Well, do you think you’re still relatable?’
