Wednesday night was the second time the 51-year-old won the award. He was also named Entertainer of the Year back in 2005.
He wasn't the only one in tears. His supportive wife rubbed his back and said, "I love you so much" as she kissed him before he went up to the stage. She cried throughout his speech too. It reminded fans of her emotional display when she thanked him at the Golden Globes in January after she won for Big Little Lies. The pair then shared their joy after the show in a video posted on the crooner's Instagram account. He captioned it "THANK YOU!!! #CMAawards".
"Thank you, thank you so much baby girl, I love you so much. I'm beyond shocked," Keith cried. Watch the video above to see his emotional speech.
