Fans of The Wendy Williams Show have noticed that within recent days, Wendy Williams has been slurring and stumbling over her words and sitting down more usual. The speculation quickly reached a fever pitch, and the talk show host addressed those concerns on her show last week. Now, she is attributing her recent behavior to painkillers, claiming that her erratic behavior was caused by unexpected side effects.

Last week, at the start of the show was when she first addressed the rumors. “It’s come to my attention,” she said at the time. “Through various people on the staff here and various people telling me in the streets that you all are noticing that I sit during my live shows. A lot. I like to have several seats.”
She then explained that her work schedule was grueling and exhausting. “I’m not running so hard anymore,” she said.
Then earlier this week, the 54-year-old dropped another health-related bombshell. She revealed she was suffering from a hairline fracture on her shoulder. She said the painkillers she’s been using to remedy the injury is the cause of her unpredictable behavior.

In a recent Instagram post, the talk show host wrote, "To My Wendy Watchers, I sincerely apologize if you feel that today's show was less than stellar. I’m on your TV screens every day wanting to spread laughter, entertainment and cheer. As I reported earlier in the week, I have a hairline fracture on my upper arm, which hurts like hell.”
“I’ve never broken a bone or experienced a fracture in my life,” she explained. “In the key place where the fracture is, and trying to scurry around and do too much, I am now paying the price."
“I've never taken a pain medication in my life (except when I got snatched over 20 years ago) until this week,” she insisted. “I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgement of the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being. I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200%. Not to mention everyone is aware at this point about my thyroid condition (don’t cry for me Argentina). For all my fellow thyroid sufferers, you know what the deal is.”
Finally, Wendy ended by thanking her fans for the concern and she promising “a better Wendy in 2019.”
