Hi Everyone, I was away this week at a friend’s wedding in Miami. She is an actress from Montreal, so most of the wedding party is French Canadian, and as we all talked about fashion trends in other countries, the topic of getting glam for a wedding came up. So I thought I would put together some helpful tips when dressing for the big day.
More often than not at a wedding, it’s all eyes on the bride. With that in mind, every bride wants to ensure she is looking and feeling her absolute best when the big day arrives.

Bridal beauty preparations are all part of the wedding planning phase and there are a number of tips to follow and products to use to ensure you turn heads for all the right reasons on your big day.
Eyes
When it comes to your big day, you’ll want perfect eyebrows, long lashes and flawless makeup. This can all be easily achieved on a low budget. If you suffer from unruly eyebrows, there is a lot you can do to ensure they look picture perfect. Have plenty of trial runs before your wedding to see if it’s tweezing, waxing or threading that works best for you to tame your brows.
On the day of, make use of a brow kit to ensure they look preened to perfection and you have the best shape to frame your face. The W7 Brow Bar comes with different eyebrow powder shades and stencils to achieve the best defined look, but if you prefer pencil to powder there are other options.

False lashes are certainly an option for your wedding day, but no bride wants to battle with unreliable eyelash glue mid-ceremony and see one fall off at the altar. They also don’t always provide the au natural look some brides want to achieve either. An alternative is to use treatments in the run up to the wedding to lengthen lashes, like Rodial Glamolash Serum, to leave them thick and glossy and ready for a simple swipe of waterproof mascara.
In terms of eye makeup, natural is definitely the way forward. Stick to neutral eye shadow colors and don’t go too dark with the eyeliner, to ensure the eyes look bright and open.

Hair
If you color your hair and want to ensure it’s looking glossy on your wedding day, don’t apply a hair dye or go to the salon too close to the day. The last thing you want is some unsightly hair dye stains on your hairline. Invest in a good quality conditioning treatment or hair mask for your locks to make sure your prevent split ends and keep hair bright and supple.
If the bridal hair style you’d like is not achievable with your own tresses, simply add someone else’s! Hair extensions can be a great way to add volume and length, to make your hair more versatile on the day. These Deluxe Double Wefted Clip-In Hair Extensions by Crazy for Hair are easy to apply and come in lengths up to 20 inches in a variety of colors to get the perfect match. They can be styled in exactly the same way as your own hair. If you don’t want to go for a full set of extensions, you can also get high quality clip-in ponytails that will give you more options for up dos.

Skin
It’s important to make cleansing, toning and moisturizing a beauty ritual in the months leading up to your wedding and, if you can, have a bit of a makeup detox to give your skin a break from products that might cause breakouts. To ensure your skin looks radiant when it comes to tying the knot, find a good beauty serum that will both nourish and illuminate to use regularly before your wedding.
