When it comes to lipstick, I have two fairly large pet peeves. And to be quite frank in my makeup confessionary, if the cosmetic situation is bad enough, I pass on the coloring my pout in a pretty hue and get my hands on some chapstick—ASAP. If red lipstick (or any shade for that matter) is supposed to be so glamorous and signify strong womanhood in all it's beautiful being, why, oh why, does it dry out our lips?
I don't know about you, but I'm not satisfied with looking like I've spent too much time in the snow.
But last night, when I tried out Elizabeth Arden's Moisturizing Lipstick and Lip Liner (notice the keyword?), most of my lipstick predicaments poufed away. Get this—no dry lips, an innovative applicator, and lasting color. The lipsticks, which are priced at $25 and come in a line of over 40 shades, are infused with a quality that make your lips actually look fuller and include Vitamin A, C, E and shea butter to keep your pout perfectly hydrated.
Wondering about the lasting color. Later that night, when I took a sip of water, no color transferred on the glass. Can you say, amazing? Elizabeth Arden's Global Makeup Artist Rebecca Restrepo gave me a few tips on successfully flaunting one of the hottest colors of the season—berry and wine-hues.
First was to use a liner. Elizabeth Arden's are really useful with it comes to application—precision at its best. One end is the color, while the other end holds a brush for blending before the actual lipstick pigment is added.
Will you try this lipstick? I'm rocking it today and couldn't be happier! Tell us your fave lipstick color @OKMagazine!
