Vanderpump Rules' Stassi Schroeder is OK!'s newest style star! Each week, Stassi will be giving you a peek into her chic world to hear about the fashion trends she's loving and how she's using them to style herself and her friends.
As a semi-obsessive fashion enthusiast, I am thrilled to be sharing my personal approach to style. And “style” is exactly where I’d like to begin. While I love a good trend, I’ve always valued the importance of personal style. Fashion is the clothes we wear and the handbags we swing over our shoulders. Fashion is not style, but merely an outlet to showcase our unique personal styles. So while I discuss my favorite trends on the runways or the fashion muses I look up to, it’s important to take your own personal favorites into consideration. I encourage you to reflect on your own style and simply build on it. With this blog, I hope to inspire you to be the most stylish version of yourself.
The Latest With Jax and Stassi
Since this is my first blog entry, I’m going to give a little style-backstory about myself. I’ve had a love affair with fashion since the age of 5, when I would ask my grandmother to let me wear three different dresses a day. I loved a good wardrobe change even then! When I moved to Los Angeles, that love only grew. I interned at different style houses and learned how to snatch up great finds without spending loads of cash. I discovered the best flea markets that have great vintage jewels, little hidden boutiques with one-of-a-kind accessories, and the ideal spots for wardrobe staples. My friends began asking me to style them for parties, events and photo shoots; and that led me to TheDivineAddiction.com where I contribute as a fashion columnist. With that said, let’s talk style!
My Personal Style—I’ve always preferred a timeless streamlined look that is feminine with a hint of edge and glamour, but my style is always tweaked depending on my mood and location. I love a romantic, airy, ivory dress paired with gold baubles on a warm day in Los Angeles, yet I die for a pair of leather pants layered with a black sweater and a faux fur vest when it’s chilly in NYC. I like to take elements of different trends and make them my own. Who says we can’t embrace the minimalism look one day and feel a little more boho-chic the next? But two rules I always follow: I never overtly show the goods, and I always like to look effortless. I think sexiness is in the subtleties, and I’m not a fan of a look that seems “too done up” or “matchy-matchy”.

Who Did Stassi Once Give a Fake Number to?
I also wanted to share a couple photos of recent outfits where I utilized trends I'm loving right now (houndstooth and leather). I recently went to a gorgeous wedding where I wore my mother’s vintage houndstooth dress. It’s silk with a strapless sweetheart neckline. I paired it with a black Aldo clutch with gold embellishments (such a bargain!). The second look was for a friend’s birthday party. Here I’m wearing faux leather pants from Topshop, an eye-catching yellow alice + olivia jacket, Zara camel booties and a Marc Jacobs handbag.
