Inside Week 5

Corinne Who? Bachelor Nick Viall Breaks The Rules & Admits To Having ‘Explosive Chemistry’ With A Contestant: ‘She Is The Total Package’

Here’s the Corinne-free recap you’ve been waiting for!

Rachel Lindsay, the Dallas lawyer who won the first impression rose, took her position as The Bachelor frontrunner after she was awarded the week’s one-on-one date.

But, before Rachel claimed her #1 spot in Nick Viall’s heart (and ours) the bachelor informed all of the girls that they were headed to New Orleans!

It was there that Nick and Rachel’s love story commenced! (Seriously, all corniness aside – it was beautiful!)

Right as their date started, you could clearly see the chemistry between the two, as they both seemed unable to keep their hands off of one another.

And Nick, for the first time this season, let it be known where his heart was leading him.

“Rachel is someone that has been on my mind from the very beginning. There’s something about her that just clicks and feels incredibly easy,” he confessed. “My chemistry with Rachel is probably the most explosive chemistry I have at this point with anyone of the women.”

“She’s confident and sexy and smart,” he continued. “She kind of has it all.”

The couple’s afternoon date, which featured a steamy dance session between the two as they enjoyed a New Orleans second line celebration, segued into a beautiful candle lit dinner at a Mardis Gras float facility (Sounds unromantic but it was totally cute!).

“I had an amazing time,” Nick said to Rachel during their date. “I had very high expectations of today and you surpassed all of my expectations.”

**Cue the awwws**

And just when you thought the date couldn’t get any cuter, Nick kinda sorta insinuated that he couldn’t wait to meet Rachel’s family, especially her dad!

“Do I have to call him ‘sir?’ Nick asked nervously. “I mean I’m going to call him sir until he tells me to call him something else.”

By this point, Rachel seemed to be loving every word coming out of Nick’s mouth and decided to share what was on her heart too.

“I wouldn’t have thought that I would feel like this-this early,” she told him.

Then during her separate interview, she gushed, “It felt like I was with somebody who was my boyfriend. Nick is exceeding my expectations to the fullest. I feel like right now, in this moment, this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. Best date of my life for sure. “

Going back to the date, after Rachel expressed her true feelings to Nick, he decided to throw all caution to the wind and confess even more of his feelings about the lawyer.

“I might be breaking the rules here, but I’m super into you, and I want you to know that because I want you to feel confident,” he said. “I want you to know I’m putting in the effort into this relationship because it means a lot to me.”

“When spending time with you today. I continue to have more and more excitement about our relationship. I love how when you walk into a room you own that room, which I find incredibly sexy and beautiful. I think more than anything when I’m with you I don’t think about anything else and I think that’s an amazing feeling,” he admitted.

Nick’s gush fest didn’t stop there. During his solo interview, he continued to sing Rachel’s praises.

“She is the total package. Every moment I’ve spent with Rachel has been better than the last and that is absolutely the type of woman that I want in my life and that I want for the rest of my life,” he explained.

The couple’s date finally ended with Nick giving Rachel the date rose and lots of PDA!

What a date to make you say, Corinne who?
