Carrie Underwood’s Husband Mike Fisher Walks Out On Her 35th Birthday Amid Pregnancy Issues
Carrie Underwood spent her 35th birthday all alone, as OK! exclusively has reported that things with her and husband Mike Fisher have gotten so bad that he walked out on what was supposed to be a happy day for her.
Sources claimed that the country star, who is said to be expecting their second child (they have a 3-year-old son named Isaiah) was devastated when Mike packed his bags, leaving their 7-year marriage in jeopardy.
“They’ve been fighting nonstop since Mike decided to come out of retirement,” an insider explained. Mike revealed that he was returning to the Nashville Predators back in January. “Publicly, she said that she supported him, but in reality, friends say Carrie was furious. She thought Mike was finally ready to let hockey take a back seat to their family, but she was wrong.”
The birthday blowout between Carrie and Mike had been brewing for months, according to the insider. After Carrie’s fall in November, which she referred to as a “freak accident” that required 50 stitches to her face and broken wrist, she’s been relying on her husband to help out with Isaiah. That need became that much greater when she found out that she was expecting. “It seemed like a blessing that Mike wasn’t tied down to work commitments,” revealed the insider. “It was the perfect time for them to get their marriage on track.”

Mike ultimately had a change of heart professionally after he quit the NHL six months earlier. “He realized he made a huge mistake,” said the insider. Once Carrie’s health improved from the fall, he schemed his way back into the game and announced his decision to return.
This left Carrie feeling unimpressed. “She’s made so many sacrifices for her family, and then it felt as though Mike was bailing when she needed him the most,” the insider explained. Things came to a head after Mike’s first game with the Predators on March 6, when “Carrie told him ‘It’s me or hockey,’ and Mike chose hockey and walked out,” claimed the insider.
The insider revealed that Mike has cooled off since then and feels “awful” about the fight. Carrie, on the other hand, has been having a hard time forgiving him. “After he stormed out, it really seemed like they might be done,” said the insider. “Carrie’s emotions are all over the place right now. She needs to be strong for Isaiah and her unborn child. This stress is the last thing she needs.”
