Kim Kardashian met with President Donald Trump to discuss prison reform, and according to the latter, it was a “great meeting.”
In a tweet, the president shared a photo of him sitting at his desk in the oval office, with the E! star standing beside him.
Kim met with Trump to discuss prison reform, specifically the case of Alice Johnson, an elderly woman who is serving a life sentence for a first time non-violent drug offense. Kim was also scheduled to meet with the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to discuss Alice’s case.
Kim is reportedly seeking a pardon for Alice, who is has been in prison since October 1996.
“Some refer to prison as a place where hope dies. Some days I’ve found that to be almost right,” Alice wrote in an essay for CNN. “Each time that I’ve come close to giving up, God has restored my faith.”
“So when the unlikely voices of Kim Kardashian West and Jared Kushner came together to shine a spotlight on my case, I could only thank God, for he works in mysterious ways,” Alice wrote.
