Following their messy breakup back in 2011, things remained pretty icy between the former sweeties. But an insider told OKMagazine.com that Gyllenhaal is now hoping to smooth over any remaining tension between the two. “Jake’s wanted to clear the air with Taylor for years now and knows a lot of things were left unsaid,” the source said.

The insider added that Gyllenhaal went as far as sending Swift flowers after they ran into each other at a Golden Globes after-party in Los Angeles.
