Meghan Markle’s Dad Awake & Alert After Successful Heart Surgery Days Ahead Of Royal Wedding
Thomas Markle is on the road to recovery.
According to reports, Meghan Markles’ dad underwent a successful heart surgery on Wednesday, May 16.
Thomas is said to be alert and coherent. So much so, he even gave an update on his recovery, saying he will only be in the hospital a few more days.
The news comes just three days before his daughter’s royal wedding.
As OK! readers know, Thomas suffered a heart attack eight days ago, but checked himself out of the hospital in order to travel to London to walk Meghan down the aisle.
However, after news broke that he worked with a photo agency to stage photographs of himself leading up to the royal wedding, the former Hollywood lighting director announced that he would no longer be attending the wedding.
While Thomas changed his mind the very next day, saying he would like to walk his daughter down the aisle, his health issues seem to have been the deciding factor.
Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding is set for Saturday, May 19.
