It's Laura and Kirk's first Christmas as a married couple on tonight's Newlyweds: The First Year, and things are certainly jolly and festive—that is until Laura drops the "kids" bomb right in the middle of dinner. When she tells her new husband that she wants to "put plans in place to start trying to have a baby," Kirk gets silent and totally shuts down. Kirk explains that he already has two adult sons of (who were born when Kirk was only 22 and 24 years old), and he's just not sure he wants to start all over again. As he said, babies are a lot of work!
