Every celebrity has their staple beauty items, and for Nicki Minaj it’s pink lipstick and false lashes. The singer chatted with ELLE magazine about her new toned down look in their April issue. She explained how the photo shoot was such a big accomplishment because it involved little hair and makeup. “To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol' crazy lashes…I felt naked,” she explained. Nicki also spoke with MTV about the transformation where she revealed her desire for fans to see past the costumes, hair and makeup. “I want women to know that I'm just a regular woman and I'm not some weirded-out character all the time."
