Oscar Pistorius Murder Trial: See How His Testimony Finally Ended
Oscar Pistorius finally ended his testimony today, after seven painful days of describing his actions on the night of Valentine's Day 2013, the night he fatally shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Like every day of testimony that has come before it, Pistorius was hugely emotional and weeped openly on the stand.
Today, Pistorius described opening the door and finding a bloody Steenkamp, then trying desperately to find her pulse. "You shot four shots through the door, while knowing she was behind the door," said prosecutor Gerrie Nel calmly. "That's incorrect, my lady," Pistorius said to the judge. "You knew she was talking to you," he tried again. "That's incorrect, my lady," Pistorius repeated. The cross-examination came to an end, and now it's time for the defense to call their own experts and witnesses. The trial is expected to last until mid-May.
