Selena Gomez Continues to Wear Bindi Despite Sparking Controversy
April 29 2013, Published 5:15 a.m. ET
Selena Gomez received some backlash from the Hindu community after she sported a bindi on her forehead during her 2013 MTV Movie Awards performance of "Come and Get It." Hindu statesman Rajan Zed put out a public statement that the bindi is a religious symbol which shouldn't be toyed with, but Selena has been seen with it on at least three other times since Rajan spoke out. SelGo was seen sporting the jewel while leaving the Late Show with David Letterman and during performances on Dancing With the Stars and Ellen.
