Watch — Rami Malek Talks How He Transformed Into Freddie Mercury On 'Jimmy Kimmel'

Rami Malek rose to star-studded fame when he won the role of Elliot on Mr. Robot years ago but may now be tackling his biggest role yet. He will next be seen in the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, playing the famed frontman, Freddie Mercury. He chatted with Jimmy Kimmel about the role and what it took to become the iconic singer.

The 37-year-old sat down with Jimmy and revealed how he got the part. He wound up with the role after the movie's producers saw him in Mr. Robot and loved how his jawline looked! "I think a lot of it had to do with the jawline. Freddie has a very austere jawline."

The main thing that the Egyptian-American actor had to do to get into the essence of the character was to wear fake teeth and a mouthpiece. "Not many people know this but Freddie Mercury as a kid was called 'Bucky' because of his teeth." Jimmy then showed a pic of Freddie and Rami in full costume side by side and the audience had to do a double take! They both looked very similar but according to Jimmy, "he's a little sweatier than you are Rami."
