There are a few reasons for Mama Monster's hibernation. She had to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour earlier this year to have hip surgery, which stranded her in a gold wheelchair. She's popped up for a few quiet appearances here and there, but over the Fourth of July weekend she quit Twitter, leaving her 39 million followers in the lurch. What gives?
