Bubba Smith, 'Police Academy' Star and NFL Player, Dies at 66

Bubba Smith, former NFL player and star of Police Academy movies, has died at the age of 66.

According to BBC News, the 6'7" star was found dead in his home yesterday in L.A. The reason for his death has not been confirmed but it's not being treated as suspicious.

Although he won the Super Bowl in 1971 and played for the Baltimore Colts, Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers, Bubba's career didn't stop there! He morphed into an actor in the late 1970s and joined the Police Academy films (remember them?) for six movies where he played the character, Moses Hightower.
