OK! NEWS: PAULA DEEN HAS TYPE 2 DIABETES — "IT'S NOT A DEATH SENTENCE" The New York Post reports her sons, Jamie and Bobby Deen, were upset about her endorsement deal for Novo Nordisk's Victoza, mainly since she was taking a different diabetes medicine and responding well to it. As per a source, the sons "were worried about her health and didn't want her to switch drugs. She had been taking a different drug for a while, and was doing very well." Three years ago the Food Network star was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and has gotten flack for creating her fatty foods on her show. That is, up until January 17 with the big reveal she is diabetic and plugs the Victoza drug. OK! NEWS: PAULA DEEN RESPONDS TO ANTHONY BOURDAIN'S CRITICISM — "GET A LIFE!" Although Paula hasn't indicated what meds she previously took, according to the newspaper she was seen eating a cheeseburger on a Caribbean cruise ship with fans.
