The world’s best dinner party has to be the Golden Globes, I mean where else do you have folks like Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Jason Bateman and Michael J. Fox all breaking bread in the same room (ok, maybe the SAG Awards, but just go with me on this one). This morning the Beverly Hilton’s Executive Chef Suki Sugiura, Executive Sous Chef Chris O’Connell and Executive Pastry Chef Thomas Henzi unveiled the menu for the 2014 awards show and it’s nothing short of spectacular.
To start, folks like Zooey Deschanel will be enjoying an elegant appetizer trio of Grilled Eggplant with Sundried Tomato and Pine Nut Hummus on Seared Tomato, Mini Sweet Pepper with Feta Cheese, Pomegranate, Herbs and California Olive Oil on Grilled Pita and a Grilled Artichoke on Multigrain Tabbouleh and Tahini.
The main entree consists of a Mediterranean Spice Crusted Braised Beef Short Rib and Sauteed Smoke Filet of Atlantic Sea Trout with a Spinach Sweet Corn Ragout and Light Cream of Tomato Dill Sauce.
When Hollywood’s elite wants to satisfy their sweet tooth, the dessert course will be served in the form of a Gusto Mango on Almond Sponge Cake with Creme Anglaise.
But, alas, no awards show would be complete without some bubbly, and Moet & Chandon is making sure all attendees are in good spirits from the start of the red carpet through the end of the show. This year they have even crafted the very first exclusive Golden Globes cocktail with a blend of champagne, pear-cardamom simple syrup and pear brandy, garnished with a fan of forelle or seckel pears.
A-listers get to have all of the fun.
The 71st Golden Globe Awards will air Sunday, January 12 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on NBC.
