Jay-Z Opens New 40/40 Club in Brooklyn With the Help of Rihanna and J. Cole

It must be the week of Jay-Z! During the same week the Barclays Center, new home to the Brooklyn Nets, opened to the public, the mogul opened doors to his new 40/40 Club!

Located within the center, he's taking a new spin on the NYC flagship location. As pointed out by MTV, the ambiance is the same but new club is sparkling and tailor-made for Barclays.

He told reporters, "I walked around here earlier and I just seen everybody busy and at work trying to finish up and it was a great feeling. A guy stopped me in the hallway and said, 'Man this is a great thing for New York City.' And that's what the whole thing was about."

As for the big opening, he relied on a little help from his friends to celebrate the opening. Rihanna, J. Cole, Lyor Cohen and Hov all attended the first party and Jigga will officially open the Barclays Center with a performance today.

It sounds like the center isn't only the home to his new club and basketball team. It's going to have concerts to the tune of Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga along with college basketball and boxing events.
