MTV's 'Buckwild' Canceled—Find Out Why Its Producer Is So Upset

Buckwild is officially over. MTV has canceled the popular reality series.

MTV was already halfway through shooting the show's second season, but production halted after its breakout star, 21-year-old Shain Gandee, was found dead of carbon monoxide poisoning on April 1.

The decision to not continue isn't sitting well with some—especially Buckwild producer JP Williams, who says he will fight to get the program back on the air.

"This is a network that has shows about teen pregnancy," he tells the Hollywood Reporter. "They'll stick by a show that allows you to abandon a child, but a kid dies by accident doing what he does for a living and they cancel the show?"
