The holidays are a busy time for Sheryl Crow, who is a single mom to adorable adopted sons Wyatt, 6, and Levi, 3.
“I’m getting all my shopping done early, so I can enjoy the last couple of weeks of November into December,” the Grammy-winning singer, 51, tells me Thursday during the African Children’s Choir Changemakers Gala at NYC’s City Winery. “I’m going to be busy right up to the last second, working.”
What gifts most excite her little guys this year?
“Both my boys want Skylanders, and unfortunately, Santa’s not going to bring video games,” she confesses. “They’re going to be bummed out, but hopefully we’ll make up for it.”
For Sheryl, whose eighth album Feels Like Home is out now, the ups and downs of motherhood are well worth it.
“I’m tired all the time, but I’m also happy.”
Despite the joy her sons bring, she has no plans to expand her family.
“If I hook up with somebody who’s got kids, that’s great, but no. I’m done.”
But what Sheryl’s not done with is being busy this holiday season! Catch her performing from Nashville on CMA Country Christmas, which airs Monday, December 2 at 9 pm ET on ABC. Next up, she’ll sing her heart out from Las Vegas on the American Country Awards, which air Tuesday, December 10 at 8 pm ET on Fox. Finally, she performs on Christmas In Washington, which airs Friday, December 20 at 8pm ET on TNT.
