The soon-to-be Mrs. Liam Hemsworth debuted a choppy, asymmetrical, bleached-blonde pixie cut on Twitter last night.

While this may seem shocking, Miley's metamorphoses from a long- tressed brunette to the incarnation we see today began weeks ago. On Aug. 6 she Tweeted a picture of her lightened locks in a bob created by celebrity hairdresser Chris McMillan.

While the reviews are mixed, the recently engaged actress told all her followers how "pretty" and "whole" she felt with the new 'do, and fired off a few comebacks to detractors.

"if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)," she wrote, adding that she feels "free" and "so happy in my skin."

In other news, the actress has scored a guest stint on Two and a Half Men. E! News reported that Miley will play a sexy new girl in town who flirts with Angus T. Jones' character, Jake Harper.
