Shirtless And Skinny! Chris Hemsworth Is Unrecognizable In New Social Media Post

Chris Hemsworth is known for his insanely buff bod but the actor posted a very different looking picture on his Instagram recently!

The Aussie, 32, shared a pic of himself looking super skinny and rocking some crazy hair and makeup for his new movie, In the Heart of the Sea.

Chris lost a reported 15 lbs. of muscle for the role as a sailor in the Moby Dick inspired film. He captioned the pic, “Just tried a new diet/training program called “Lost At Sea”. Wouldn’t recommend it..#IntheHeartoftheSea.”

The father-of-three said losing weight for a role can be extremely difficult. “When you’re already starting off lean, it’s brutal to chew through that kind of weight. Every pound feels like a kilogram,” he explained.

The director of the movie, Ron Howard, told EW that the actors had long shooting days and even had to work out on set— “Because they had to lose the weight pretty fast and they had to lose it safely. They needed to keep burning the calories and we also needed that sinewy strength that was more of that era, as opposed to a kind of cut, buff look.”
