OK! Exclusive: Jessa And Jill Duggar ‘Feel Vindicated’ After Josh Duggar Molestation Scandal Leaked
Josh Duggar has been the subject of scrutiny after a police report revealed he molested five girls, some of which were his younger sisters, in the 19 Kids And Counting family home. And while the secret has been kept under wraps for over a decade, Jill and Jessa Duggar are relieved that the truth is finally out.
“They have been carrying what happened to them inside for so long, smiling and pretending nothing was wrong,” a friend of the Duggar family told OK! Magazine. “They felt abandoned and betrayed, and they’ll probably never forgive Josh or their parents.”

While the source said it’s been “humiliating and traumatizing to live it all over again” for the girls, Jill, 24, and Jessa, 22, are just “glad that people finally know the truth.”
“For years they had to pretend their family was perfect, and it was unbearable,” the insider said. “With the release of the police report, they feel vindicated.”

Josh has spoken out saying he is “extremely sorry” and Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar said the “dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before.” But according to OK!’s source, the Duggar parents told Jessa and Jill that “it was their Christian duty to forgive Josh, and if they didn’t, God would be angry with them.”

“There was no support from Jim Bob and Michelle; all their worry was for Josh,” the source said. “They were told not to tempt Josh, to wear looser clothing so he wouldn’t make another mistake. They were also forced to cook and clean for him and hold his hands at prayer time. They started to think it was all their fault.”
According to the police report, Josh Duggar was accused of sexual abuse in 2002 and 2003 before being sent to a “treatment program” involving hard labor and counseling for four months.
