The Mean Girls alum has reportedly been hospitalized in London for chikungunya, a rare mosquito-borne virus.

Lindsay attracted the virus while vacationing in French Polynesia over the holidays. She turned to Instagram in December to break the news to fans. “Before I got chikungunya use bug spray please. God Bless,” she captioned a snap of herself.

In addition to fever, the sometimes-fatal virus also causes joint pain that could last months.

A source told RadarOnline.com that her mother, Dina Lohan, wants Lindsay home. “Dina wants her to come home to New York when she is released," the insider shared. "She is extremely worried for Lindsay and has suggested that she come back to live with her until her symptoms get better.”
