Singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have named their newborn twins Max and Emme, according to a confirmation from Lopez’ rep, Simon Fields.
The news was made public late Friday. Little Max and Emme were born 10 minutes apart last Friday at a Long Island hospital. Emme arrived first at about 12 minutes past midnight, weighing in at 5.7 pounds. Max followed at 12:23 a.m. and weighed an even 6 pounds.
The twins are the first children for 38-year-old Lopez. Anthony has three children from previous relationships. The couple married in 2004 and starred together last year in the film El Cantante, a film about salsa legend Hector Lavoe. Sources say the gifts have already been pouring in, and include pillows and baby carriers from Baby K’tan in Fort Lauderdale with the babies’ names embroidered on them.
