1 EAT A LOT — OF THE RIGHT FOODS
Forget having huge portions of fatty foods. “Just have a little of the good stuff,” Bethenny says, “and fill up on high-volume vegetables, soups and grains.”
2 STOP WHEN YOU’RE FULL
“Nobody is going to slap your hand with a ruler if you don’t finish it all,” she says. “When you’ve had enough, stop — even if you leave just one bite.”
3 SIP LIGHTER COCKTAILS
If you usually drink rum and Coke, try drinking rum and soda with a splash of Coke — and remember to stick to clear liquids when possible.
4 MAKE SIMPLE SWAPS TO CUT CALS
“When baking, if I see a recipe that takes 4 eggs, I’ll always try it with 2 eggs and 2 egg whites,” Bethenny explains. She also always uses dark instead of milk chocolate.
5 ADD ANTIOXIDANTS
When possible, add a few teaspoons of beet or carrot juice to your recipes. Fresh or dried fruit — such as blueberries, cranberries or raisins — works well too!
