Melissa Rivers Releases Official Statement About Mom Joan, Says She's "Resting Comfortably" In The Hospital

We were really, really scared yesterday afternoon when we heard that Joan Rivers was rushed to the hospital after complications during a procedure at an NYC clinic. We waited all day for an update, and then finally got one from Ken Baker at E! News, who reported that Joan was in "stable" condition a few hours after the news broke.

Now, the good news is pouring in and we've gotten an official statement from Joan's daughter, Melissa. Melissa told press:

"I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother. She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers."

We also know now that Joan remains in "critical but stable" condition, and ther'es also rumors that she's in a medically induced coma. Whatever it is though, let's hope Joan pulls through so she can go back to her quick-witted self soon!
