Brooke Mueller is battling to have her twin sons, Max and Bob, removed from Denise Richards' custody.
As OKMagazine.com previously reported, the four-year-old boys were taken away from Mueller last weekend, by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, amid concerns for their wellbeing.

They were placed in the care of Richards, who was married to the children's father, Charlie Sheen, before Mueller.
Brooke has since checked into rehab—for the 20th time—this time, purportedly, for an addiction to prescription pills.

But, out of sight certainly does NOT mean out of mind, as lawyers for the 35-year-old headed to court Friday, in an effort to remove the twins from Denise's home and place them instead in the care of Brooke's brother.

According to TMZ, Mueller is concerned about the boys being in contact with Sheen, who she claims is violent—and believes that by Denise having custody it exposes them to Charlie.

Mueller's attorneys went to family court to request access to sealed documents which allegedly outline "a pattern of violence on Charlie's part."

Denise Richards, who was married to Charlie Sheen before Brooke, currently has custody of their two sons
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that both Charlie and Denise think it would be "ridiculous" to move the twins to the care of Brooke's brother, as he has no established relationship with the young boys—in addition, it would mean uprooting the kids from their family, friends, school and doctors.
