Emma Roberts Confirms She Is Expecting Baby No. 1 With BF Garrett Hedlund: 'My 2 Favorite Guys'
Aug. 31 2020, Updated 1:28 p.m. ET
Congrats! Emma Roberts confirmed she is pregnant and expecting her first child — a baby boy! — with her boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund. “Me … and my two favorite guys,” the 29-year-old captioned a couple of photos of herself cradling her baby bump alongside her man on August 30.
In the first snap, the blonde beauty sat in the corner of her home and showed off her protruding stomach in a white off-the-shoulder dress. The Country Strong star — who sported a yellow cardigan, a white T-shirt with jeans and boots — joined his girlfriend for the other two pictures, where he wrapped his arm around her and laughed as he posed for the camera.
Of course, Roberts’ friends and family immediately took to the comments section to share their excitement for her. Julia Roberts, her famous aunt, wrote, “Love you,” while her former costar and bestie Lea Michele — who just gave birth to a son named Ever Leo on August 20 — added, “You will be the greatest mama. I love you Em! Boy moms together.”

Nicky Hilton also chimed in, writing, “Gorgeous mommy xx,” while Kaley Cuoco exclaimed, “Congratulations!!!!! So sweet!!”
The parents-to-be were “surprised, shocked and happy” when they found out they had a bun in the oven, a source previously told Us Weekly. “They know the sex of the baby but are keeping it private for now. They haven’t picked out any names yet.”
Roberts and Hedlund, 35, were first linked in March 2019 when they were spotted holding hands in New York City. Since then, the two — who were “friends” first according to Us Weekly — have been photographed in Los Angeles and New York City, but have never publicly spoken about their relationship.

EMMA ROBERTS TURNED TO SUPERSTAR AUNT JULIA FOR PREGNANCY ADVICE
Prior to dating Hedlund, Roberts was in an on-again, off-again relationship with her American Horror Story costar Evan Peters for seven years. The two got engaged in 2013, took a break in 2015 and 2016 before they ended their relationship for good in 2019.
Despite moving on, Roberts told Cosmopolitan in 2019 that she struggled after her breakup. “Anything ending is hard. Losing something is hard,” she said. “And the only thing I can say for that is … I’m realizing that life is highs and lows. I’m trying to ride them out and live somewhere in the middle.”
These days, the We’re the Millers star doesn’t want to touch upon her love life. “I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended,” she admitted. “It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience. Growing up is hard. Sometimes it makes me sad that I can’t have a private moment.”

“Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing and no one knows the real story,” she added. “That’s hard.”
Luckily, Roberts was able to announce the pregnancy news on her own time. Congrats, you two!
