Liam Payne Announces Split From Cheryl After Two Years Together

Liam Payne announced on his Twitter Sunday night that he and Cheryl have broken up after two years together.

The former couple first became an item in the spring of 2016.

A year later, she welcomed their first child, a son named Bear, on March 22nd, 2017.

"Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways," he wrote on his Twitter. "It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."

Rumors have swirled for months now that there was trouble in paradise for these two. They looked quite gloomy while attending The Brit Awards back in February and were also reportedly leading separate lives from one another.
