After nearly two years away due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is back with a bang, bringing with it performances from beloved artists, desert parties and a sneak peek at the festival fashions we'll be seeing all summer long.

From monochrome moments to the emergence of chainmail, here are four of the hottest fashion trends from Coachella 2022.

Reuniting for the first time since 2019, Coachella's attendees and performers decided to party like it was 1599, rocking their best chainmail-inspired looks to the Empire Polo Club. From Harry Styles' sparkly, multi-chrome jumpsuit to the queen of Coachella herself, Vanessa Hudgens, sporting a slinky silver dress, the chainmail trend seemingly ruled the valley this year – and our festival fashion Pinterest boards.

But not every Coachella trend was as hard as chainmail. Knits, too, dominated festival fashion, with celebs like Chloe Bailey, Bretman Rock, as well as Euphoria stars Chloe Cherry and Storm Reid all adding knitted elements to their desert ensembles.

Amid all the wild textures and patterns of Coachella 2022, several attendees and performers took a much more simplistic approach to their festival attire, wearing white monochrome ensembles.

From supermodel Jasmine Tookes' sultry white dress and matching strappy heels to headliner Billie Eilish rocking an oversized white t-shirt and matching sneakers onstage, white-on-white outfits were the sleeper hit of this year's festival.
