Alex and his wife were fast asleep when he caught the prowler at around 2:30 a.m. As reported by The New York Post, he caught her red handed but after experiencing the injury, he lost her and she got away. Thanks to good ol' fashioned teamwork, his wife contacted hotel security and they got the woman.
The perpetrator, Lucinda Moyers, was booked by police and identified as the criminal by Alex and his wife. She was arrested and charged with felony burglary and possession of stolen property. Get this — Lucinda apparently threw some of the cash she took in an ice machine close to the room! Unfortunately, Alex is still missing some cash in addition to a bracelet his mother gave him.

Although it's unclear as to how Lucinda gained access to their room in the first place, Alex is picking up the pieces and is expected to have surgery on his leg tomorrow. He'll be in a cast for six weeks. Talk about a Jeopardy challenge!
Get well soon, Alex!
