'American Idol' Recap: DeAndre Brackensick is Eliminated and Jennifer Lopez Tried to Save Him!
April 6 2012, Published 1:30 p.m. ET
After being brought back into the competition after he didn't make the initial cut for the top 13, American Idol contestant DeAndre Brackensick said goodbye after being the lowest vote-getter on '80s night this week.
Joining him in the bottom 3 was Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone, who, of course, had been there before. But their performances didn't do them any favors.
However, it was DeAndre's performance of DeBarge that sent him packing. Sadly, his hair choreography and crazy falsettos couldn't save him this time.
The singer did give it his all when singing for the save, so much so that Jennifer Lopez admitted that he did vote to save him, but unfortunately she was outnumbered by Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler. Sorry, DeAndre.
Other than the results, we were also treated to Jennifer's music video which seemed to play more like a personal video of her and her boyfriend, Casper Smart! Isn't this family televison? But we loved the performances from The Wanted and Kellie Pickler! They rocked and it's amazing how much Kellie has grown up since her time on Idol.
