Anne Hathaway Opens Up About Playing Catwoman in 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Anne Hathaway sat down to chat with MTV News about her starring role as Catwoman in this month's The Dark Knight Rises and failed to give us any kind of Megan Fox-like griping about her co-stars or director Christopher Nolan.

Rather, Anne seemed remarkably gracious for an A-list celebrity, almost as if the movie was doing her a favor by booking her, not the other way around.

When asked about the best and worst thing on set, she had a tough time deciding.

"The best? I'm in Batman," she said. "That was the best. The worst, it doesn't matter; I'm in Batman. Like, this is not the sort of job where you nitpick or find things to complain about."

Instead, Anne felt honored, saying it was more of a 'Count your lucky stars every single day' kind of experience.

As far as the iconic suit, while Anne has talked about her strict diet regime for the movie she focused less on her workouts and salads and more about just becoming Catwoman.

"I think if I had been forced to fit a certain ideal I wouldn't have been able to do it. But everyone's attitude was, 'Become the character physically,' and then that's the way the suit is meant to look," she said.

The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20.
