The beer revolution continues! BrewDog, which was established in 2007, serves beery masterpieces around the world, and now, patrons can rejoice as they have unveiled plans for the world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel.
The Scottish brewery announced March 3 that they would be building ‘The DogHouse’ in Colombus, Ohio, and the goal is to have it open by the end of September 2018.
“Beer geeks around the world have been crying out for a beer hotel since we first floated the idea on social media, so we’re going to kick-start the most ambitious project we’ve ever planned, all with the backing of our global community of beer fans,” commented BrewDog Cofounder and CEO, James Watt.
And hotel guests are in for a treat, as the state-of-the-art hotel will include amenities such as deluxe meals infused and paired with artisanal craft beers, a craft been spa with beer-based treatments, a craft beer tap in every room with the brewery’s flagship beer, Punk IPA, and an in–shower beer fridge just in case guests want to sip while washing up.
The amenities in the suites are even more brag-worthy, and include a hot tub filled with Punk IPA.

“From the hop oil face masks and malted barley massages – to the beer-infused breakfasts and built-in shower beer fridge – The DogHouse will be a mecca for those craft beer geeks seeking a vacation with a difference,” added James. “Every single part of your stay at The DogHouse will be absolutely dominated by hops, malt and incredible beer. Forget Disneyland, this is the new happiest place on Earth.”
The brewer is launching its latest crowdfunding campaign on Wednesday, via Indiegogo, in which it aims to raise $75k to fund the build of 'The DogHouse.' Backers of the campaign can get a free nights stay, limited edition beers and the chance to hire out the whole hotel for their wedding or birthday party!
