'Bridesmaids' and 'Hunger Games' Lead MTV Movie Award Nominees

The MTV Movie Awards nominees were revealed today and it appears Bridesmaids and The Hunger Games are the easy winners, each snagging eight nominees amongst the 12 categories. This may come as a surprise for Twilight fans — the vampire franchise only managed to score two nominations: Best Kiss and Movie of the Year.

Joining The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 in the Movie of the Year category: Bridesmaids, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, The Help and The Hunger Games.

MTV added new categories this year — two of which are Best Onscreen Dirtbag and Best Gut Wrenching Performance. Jon Hamm (Bridesmaids) and Jennifer Aniston (Horrible Bosses) are set to compete for the "dirtbag" category on June 3 when the ceremony is set to air.

Instead of the nominees being chosen by fans, this year MTV opted to have actors, producers, agents and "industry tastemakers" choose.
