And although she has an enviable body, a strict work out regime and eats very healthy, Brooke says she never wants her kids to become obsessed with their weight so there are certain things she does to not make it an issue.
"I try to never use words like 'fat' or 'diet,'" she told People. "I try to choose my words carefully with my kids. It's just about making good choices and enjoying what we eat and making delicious flavorful foods that are healthy. I'm just teaching them about being healthy and strong, not about being thin."

Brooke has two kids; Neriah, 12, and Sierra, 10, from her first marriage and two with husband David Charvet; Rain, six, and Shaya, four.
"I always tell other parents to lead by example," she added. "My kids know I'm always working out and I love to cook. I'm always preparing healthy meals. I think it's also about giving them healthy options, which is so, so important. My little ones, especially, grocery shop with me. They're in the kitchen. They love to cook."
But Brooke says she allows herself to succumb to her cravings like a glass of her favorite red wine but "next day, I'm back on track."
