Carrie Fisher Signs Up with Jenny Craig

Donuts and bagels and pizza, oh my! If you over did it during the holidays, you're not alone. That's why Carrie Fisher, a.k.a. Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, is taking on a new role this year. After years of yo-yo dieting the actress signed on as a Jenny Craig spokesperson to drop 30 lbs.

Carrie told PopEater, "I know how to eat alone, but I need help not eating." She's looking to become liberated from obsessing about her weight. She adds, "There were days when I didn't want to leave the house because I didn't like the way I looked."

And even back in the day when she did like the way she looked, Star Wars producers still told her she needed to lose 10 lbs. This is when she weighed a lightweight 105 lbs! Well, weight crept up over the years and Carrie mentions that her poor eating habits continued to worsen when she ate junk food and used them as "mood stabilizers."
The former Princess Leia simply says she had to stop making excuses. She joined Jenny Craig in late fall and has already dropped 12 lbs!
