The outspoken American Idol winner opens up about her hubby in the February 2013 issue of Allure magazine (excerpted through RadarOnline.com) and she says things were hard enough on Mike when he was traded Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators, but says the press made it worse when they started referring to him as “Carrie Underwood’s husband or Mr. Underwood or whatever.”
“It made me feel awful,” she admits.“Somebody works real hard to make a name for themselves, a respectable name, and then it’s Mr. Underwood…”

The 29-year-old candidly says Mike wasn't happy about being traded, but she's thrilled to have him in Nashville.
“He was drafted there, and that was the only team he had ever played for. He would have played and he wanted to play for Ottawa for his whole career. He had no say in any of it.”
