A statement from the studios behind the film said, "The filmmakers of Fifty Shades Of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.” Hmm.

Production schedules are definitely tough, but doesn't it seem like arrangements would have been made before Charlie signed on for such a giant franchise? Like maybe Charlie would have checked his calendar for his role on Sons of Anarchy beforehand? His work was scheduled to begin next month, and the movie is out in less than a year, so here's hoping we have a new casting for Christian soon!
