It was movie theme night last evening on Dancing With the Stars so as the nine couples did their best moves in the ballroom, Cher was in the audience to cheer on Chaz Bono. Not only that, Ricki Lake earned a perfect 10!
After Chaz did the paso doble to the Rocky theme song and started the number by Richard Simmons (yes, Richard Simmons) dressing up in a gold spandex work out outfit to help Chaz with a boxing movie montage. Then Lacey Schwimmer and her dancing partner, both dressed in American flag-themed clothing, danced through the song which ended with Chaz running up the DWTS staircase at the end a la Rocky.

This moved Cher to her feet who looked a little tear-eyed as did Carrie Ann Inaba. Len Goodman, however, wasn't too impressed and said it wasn't a "knockout performance" but the number earned Chaz and Lacey 21 points, as noted by The Washington Post.
Carrie explained, "I don't know why but you really get under my skin. That was magic."

As for another highlight from the night? Ricki Lake earned the season's first 10 with a passionate paso doble to the theme of Psycho. Although she and her partner, Derek Hough, seemed to struggle with the complex tune and Ricki wanted to quit because she didn't "get" the tango, she pulled through.

After completing the number all dressed in black and ending in shadows as Derek "chased" his partner and stabbed her in the stomach, Carrie Ann exclaimed it was "brilliant" and Bruno loved "the spooky ending." With a high score of 29, looks like they're tough to beat this week.
"That was worthy of three sequels," explained Bruno Tonioli.
Len added, "Top of the leader board."
