UPDATE: After earlier reports that child services visited Tiger Woods' home this weekend, TMZ confirms that a representative from the Florida Department of Children and Families went to the Florida home on Friday for a "well-being check."According to TMZ, the department received a complaint — the nature of which is not known — and then contacted the Orange County Sheriff to help get access into Tiger's gated community.
The visit was not part of an investigation, but a routine procedure when a complaint is made.
The department evaluates the safety of the children and the adults in the home as well, but it is unknown who was home when the visit occurred.
The case is being evaluated, but a formal investigation has not been opened.
