Chilean miner, Edison Pena, is gearing up to run this Sunday in the New York City Marathon 2010, but is still in need of a little encouragement!
Edison was one of the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped for 69 days underground. To stay and shape and keep his spirits up, Edison said he would run back and forth in the mine.
Now, he plans to run the NYC marathon in celebration of his rescue just 25 days later! Edison is in NYC and stopped by the Today show to talk about the race.
Since Edison has never ran a race before, he admits he is rather nervous about it.
