Chris Colfer Inks Book Deals for Kids

Looks like dreams really do come true for Glee's Chris Colfer. The Golden Globe winner landed a two-book deal (not one, but two) with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. In fact, since he was 10 years-old he's had the burning desire to become an author someday!

The first book, The Land of Stories, will be fairy tales based on a set of twins'adventures into a modern day setting. It'll be released next summer and is appropriate for ages 8 through 12. According to the Hollywood Reporter (via PopEater), the second book by the 21 year-old will follow.

In a statement Chris explained, "When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance." He added, "This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I'm excited and nervous to share it."

As if that wasn't enough for the budding author, Chris is writing a Disney Channel pilot, too! It'll be based on the children's book, The Little Leftover Witch. In addition (stop us any time now...), he's also penning an indepedent movie, Struck by Lightening which he'll also star in. Wow!
